MMSY-Improvement to Existing RD Road

RD Department has 27298.232 km of original own rural roads, with an addition of 72549.088 km PMGSY roads and 3883.690 km MMSY roads transferred to books of RD Department. Increase in vehicular traffic and plying of heavily loaded vehicles causes wear and tear to the roads. Heavy rain followed by flood thereafter also contributes to damage of road crust. Further, due to increase in traffic volume on many roadsin areas where industries, mining activities and trading activities have started post construction of road require widening of roads. To meet this requirement a scheme under the name" Improvement to existing RD road" was implemented. The scheme has been renamed as "MMSY- Improvement to Existing R.D Roads in the year 2022-23.
