This sheme is Connecting Unconnected Villages in Difficult Areas (CUVDA) under MMSY has been introduced during 2022-23. This is the rename of scheme UPANTA.
The scheme envisages to provide all-weather road connectivity to more number of Unconnected Habitations/Villages in tribal/hilly difficult areas of LWE districts and to upgrade existing village road network so as to effectively meet the transportation needs, to promote access to economic & social services, thereby reducing LWE activities and providing access to remote pockets which will increase agricultural productivity, non-agricultural employment & non-agricultural productivity. All projects will be taken up as per prevailing codal provision of OPWD code and standard DTCN being followed by State.
Finance will be from State Funding.
Projects under this scheme are mostly of LWE districts such as Koraput, Kandhamal, Malkarngiri, Nuapada & Rayagada. During 2022-23, the projects have been taken up as per recommendation of Home Deptt. In subsequent years it is being planned to include more no of projects in most difficult areas of LWE districts which bears strategic importance from LWE point of view.
All the village population of LWE affected Districts will be benefitted after construction of the project in terms of day to day needs on Health, Education, Marketing, Administrative needs, accessibility to tourist center, nearest G.P., Block, Subdivision, District head quarter etc. for a leading better life style of people living in faraway places detached from mainstream.
